Christmas is around the corner and before you know it you’re wrapping presents for your mum, dad, uncle, neighbour etc.! Christmas is for giving and what’s better than giving a present that has a personal touch to it in the wrapping and will save you money too!

Here are a few of my ideas to make your gifts even more special by adding one of these personal touches:

  • Tie a gift with brown string and place a rosemary sprig in the middle and knot the string over. You could also jazz it up by adding a pine cone to give it a rustic finish!

  • Spray the top of a present wrapped in brown paper with snow spray, Then push a car toy through it to give the effect of skid marks. Just leave it to try and tape the car in place. The car can also be a gift too for any special boy or girl!

  • Spray pasta bows with gold/silver paint. Then you can sprinkle glitter over it to give it a sparkly effect. Just let this dry and repeat that on the other side of the pasta bow. Tie the bows on a piece of string and drape it over your gift and stick it with tape.

  • Okay! This isn’t necessarily a personal touch BUT more of an eco-friendly tip: Reuse Christmas wrapping paper from gifts you received last year! There is nothing wrong with saving good quality Christmas paper. You just have to open your present carefully to not rip it but not only will you save money but you’ll also be saving the planet!

    1. Definitely! Being creative and re-using items is always a great thing! Waste is just unpleasant in my opinion. I’ve been re-using my artificial Christmas for +13 years. I don’t see the point of getting a real Christmas tree…
