ECO SWIMWEAR

I live in the UK, and if you live here too or have ever visited England in November you will know it is FREEZING! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love winter but it doesn’t help when you look through your Instagram feed seeing people on the beach and taking in that Vitamin D!

I have been following Kane Vato and Pia Muehlenbeck for some time now on Instagram after stumbling across their YouTube account showcasing their amazing travels around the world. The couple also have a swimwear line. At first I just thought it was just your ordinary swimwear outfits just like any other…. BUT NO! What caught my eye was that their new swimwear range is made from abandoned fishing nets that would otherwise suffocate and kill marine life as well as being a burden to our coastlines! How amazing is that!

Plastic pollution is a growing problem, with the UN estimating that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish unless drastic action is taken. Human destruction and climate change is affecting our oceans right now.Β Oceans cover about 70% of the Earth’s surface and influence basically everything on a local and global scale. If we harm the oceans we are essentially harming ourselves. But we still have a bit of time to change our environment for the better!

It makes me so happy to see more and more brands focusing on environmental protection!

So go check them out and I definitely will be too (but probably won’t be wearing it anytime soon… I’ll just prepare myself for Summer 2018 haha!)

Have a wonderful day lovelies!
